Kearny State Park
Kearny State Park is a small but lovely park that is used for a variety of activities. 
It is located along the west shore of Five Island Lake in Emmetsburg, IA. It offers a camp ground and boat dock, which makes it popular for picnicking, camping, fishing, swimming, and boating. Winter activities include snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hockey, and recreational skating. Three boat ramps are located in Kearny State Park and on the north side of the lake. The Golf Course is located next door to the campground.
Kearny State Park in Emmetsburg is managed by the City of Emmetsburg. It is a small park and the City does not take reservations. It is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For further information about the Park, call Emmetsburg City Hall at 712-852-4030. Although it is a State Park, it is NOT included in the Iowa Online Reservation System.
