Buena Vista University, Emmetsburg Campus

The Emmetsburg campus of Buena Vista University’s Lakes & Prairies Center is located in Emmetsburg, IA on the Iowa Lakes Community College campus. The Lakes & Prairies Center is one of 11 off-campus programs operated by Buena Vista University.

High quality academic programs, dedicated faculty and committed administrators will help you acquire the knowledge and develop the skills you need to reach your life career goals. This program allows students to complete their Bachelor’s degree in Emmetsburg by attending the first two years of their program with ILCC and the final two years with Buena Vista University. Transfer students from other colleges are also accepted into the programs.

The Center operates on a term system which is designed to meet the needs of busy students with family and career obligations. Six 8-week terms are scheduled each year. Each class meets on Monday and Thursday evening. A full-time student enrolls in two courses per Term (6 semester hours).
