Economic Development Organizations

There are four organizations in and around Emmetsburg that are designed to promote the well-being of our community. The following groups cooperate, communicate, and work together to promote projects.

Emmetsburg Community Development Corporation (ECDC) is a private, non-profit organization that promotes economic development for Emmetsburg.
Industrial Development Board (IDB) represents the City of Emmetsburg and concentrates its efforts on Industrial Development, to improve and increase the service and industrial bases.
Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit group focused on promoting retail and service businesses.
Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation (PACEDC) is a private, non-profit organization that promotes economic development for all of Palo Alto County.

LOIS is a state-wide economic development database that provides detailed information on buildings, sites and locations anywhere in Iowa. Anyone can use this Internet source to do an on-line search to find economic development information about virtually every community in the State of Iowa.
