Ground Breaking

June 10, 2005 - another date that signaled the official ground breaking on the $35.4 million casino and resort by Wild Rose Entertainment. The building site is east of Emmetsburg along Highway 18. A community picnic followed with delicious food and entertainment throughout the evening to celebrate the event.

Those present for the ground breaking ceremony included Wild Rose officials, Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation, representatives of the construction team, and city and county officials.

The ground breaking was the next step in the construction process of the Wild Rose Casino and Resort. Gary Kirke, chairman of Wild Rose, expressed his feeling that this step solidifies the relationship with the community. He looks forward to next summer and the Grand Opening event.

The Wild Rose Casino & Resort is scheduled to open in July 2006.

Components of Casino
