Veterans Day Celebration
Emmetsburg honors its veterans on the day set aside for such celebrations each year. This gives us an opportunity to stop and reflect on the service given to our country by our veterans. The Veterans include those who served in World War II, Korean War, 
Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq.
This year’s activities included speakers, readings related to veterans, a prayer, comments by our local representative, Marcie Frevert, and Senator Jack Kibbie, music by the Catholic School chorus, and several other musical numbers.
There is an appearance by VFW Color Guard. The service ends with Taps being played, followed by refreshments and time for fellowship.
