4th of July Celebration
Each
summer, Emmetsburg celebrates Independence Day with a variety of activities.
The annual Bob McCartan Sprint Tri-Athalon is sponsored by the Wellness
Center. Numerous games and fun along with basketball tournaments and sand
volleyball are held at Soper Park.
Other events, such as a Dunk Tank, City Band Concert, Street Dance, and Parade of Boats provide entertainment to citizens. The evening is topped off by a lovely display of fireworks over Five Island Lake. This celebration is sponsored by Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce.
