Being 50 and over has its advantages! The Silver Advantage group has
something to offer anyone interested in protecting or improving his or
her own health. Centered at the Palo Alto County Hospital and the Willow
Ridge Independent Living, this organization is designed to offer health
education and fitness programs, health screenings and clinics, nutrition
services, transportation, insurance information, support groups, and community
resources and referrals.

Silver Advantage keeps you informed on the status of your own health through regular health screenings and through health education programs. These assist you in preventing and identifying specific health problems. You can call the Mercy Family Health Line at 800-468-0050 for questions or referrals. A variety of education, wellness, and support programs are offered on topics of interest.
You can make the program fit your lifestyle simply by choosing the services of interest to you. There are no membership fees and many of the services offered by Silver Advantage are provided free or at a reduced rate to members. In addition, services may include insurance assistance, cafeteria discounts, social events, trips or tours, and special events.
Membership in Silver Advantage isn’t all business. Part of healthful living is having fun and making new friends. Social activities such as education programs and trips or tours are planned according to the needs and interests of members. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to have fun and meet new people, such as attending the Senior Fun and Wellness Day, Coffee Talks, luncheons, and some day trips. A calendar of events is announced at various times of the year.
