RSVP
Sponsored by Iowa Lakes Community College
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? Do you have talents and skills that you want to put to use? If so, RSVP is an organization that you may want to work with. RSVP encourages adults 55 and older to volunteer their service and talent to help meet community needs.
The volunteers choose what to do and when to do it. There are many opportunities for service, from visiting home-bound residents to tutoring young people; from transporting someone to an appointment to protecting the environment. Whatever your interest, there is a place for you.
Northwest Iowa RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) is sponsored by Iowa Lakes Community College. The Palo Alto County RSVP office is located on the Emmetsburg Campus of ILCC, next to the Wellness Center. Mary Steele is the director for the 5 counties and has her office at the Spencer campus of Iowa Lakes.
To become an RSVP volunteer, you may contact the RSVP staff at the phone or address given above or go online, by clicking on http://www.iowalakes.edu/ContinuingEd/RSVP/, then click on “Join RSVP Today”, fill out the online form and click on “submit.” An RSVP staff person will contact you with additional information. |
