University of Iowa, RN-BSN Program
The University of Iowa offers an online RN-BSN program in conjunction with their Iowa articulation agreement with Iowa Lakes Community College, Emmetsburg campus. The RN-BSN program allows Registered Nurses the opportunity to earn a Bachelors Degree in Nursing online while continuing to live and work in their local communities.
Most students find it financially and logistically advantageous to complete their prerequisites, general education requirements, and elective at their local community college and then enroll at The University of Iowa for the online RN-BSN nursing program. This allows the University of Iowa to offer the RN-BSN program in its entirety to students in northwest Iowa and across the state.

Students can begin the process of attaining a BSN by having their transcript evaluated. To request a transcript evaluation, go to http://www.nursing.uiowa.edu/academic-programs/rn-bsn or follow the two simple steps below:
- Send an email to the RN-BSN Office (email@example.com) with your complete name (including maiden name if applicable), contact information (mailing address), and which transcripts are being sent from what schools.
- Send an individual transcript from each and every school you have attended (including your high school). The transcripts can be unofficial and may be mailed (RN-BSN Office, 37 CNB, Iowa City, IA 52242), faxed (319-384-4423), or sent electronically (firstname.lastname@example.org). For the purpose of a transcript evaluation, we do not need official transcripts.
