Five Island Alternative High School
The Alternative High School program, sponsored by Iowa Lakes Community College, is an excellent chance for young adults between the ages of 16 and 21 to earn a high school diploma. Students are offered flexibility in a non-traditional setting. The programs are designed to help students whose life circumstances have resulted in an interruption of their education or in their dropping out of school. The adult/alternative high school population consists of students who need a flexible or extended program to accommodate their work or family requirements, who may be pregnant or parenting, students for whom English is a second language. The learning environment is safe, secure and accepting and ensures academic and personal success.
Enrollment is limited. Upon completion, students are awarded a high school diploma. There is no cost to students. Call 712-852-5297 for more information.
